It all started on the UCSD campus buses. CJ had noticed Brooke a few times on the ride to class, but he hadn’t worked up the courage to talk to her yet. One day, fate (and a little Halloween magic) stepped in.

Brooke was dressed as Rosie the Riveter, and CJ finally decided to say hello. With a smile, he walked up and said, “We can do it!”

It was a testing day for both of them, but from that moment on, everything just clicked. They started talking, riding the bus together, and quickly became inseparable. That small Halloween hello turned into study sessions, brewery dates, and eventually a love story that led to this very moment.
